Rio city guide in this month’s National Geographic Traveller

In this month’s National Geographic Traveller UK is my eighth feature for the magazine, this time it’s about a place I know well – a city guide to my adopted second home of Rio de Janeiro. Sandwiched in between the World Cup and the Olympics next year, and struggling with an economic downturn, the ‘cidade marvelosa’ (marvelous city) still shines brightly and remains a top destination, whether you’re looking for great beaches, music or a joie de vivre that is difficult to find anywhere else.
